POP Board Co. Shipping Policy

POP Board Co. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the following Shipping Policy. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
1. Order Processing Time

Standard Processing: Please allow 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for us to process and dispatch your order.

Confirmation: You will receive an order confirmation email immediately upon purchase, and a second notification with tracking details within 1 to 3 business days once your order has shipped.

High Volume: During peak seasons or sale events, processing times may be slightly extended.
2. Local Pickup (Lake Forest + Kelowna)
Free local pickup is available at our Lake Forest + Kelowna facility.

Coordination Required: Pickup times must be arranged in advance. Please email info@popboardco.com or use our website chat widget to schedule your pickup.

Requirements: To release the goods, you must present a valid photo ID and your order confirmation email.
3. Domestic Shipping (Canada and USA)
We generally ship orders within 1-2 business days via [Carrier Name, e.g., Canada Post/UPS, DHL, USPS etc.].

⚠️ IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS TO FREE SHIPPING:
A. Remote & Rural Area Surcharge (The "$100 Cap")
We strive to ship anywhere in Canada. However, for orders destined for remote or rural areas where carrier shipping fees are excessive:

The Cap: POP Board Co. will cover shipping costs up to $100 USD.

Overage: If the carrier quote exceeds $100 USD, the customer is responsible for the difference.

Procedure: We will pause your order and contact you to pay the remaining balance. If you do not wish to pay the difference, we reserve the right to cancel and fully refund your order.
B. Rigid Boards (Oversized Items)
Rigid paddleboards and surfboards are classified as oversized freight and do not qualify for free shipping.

Pricing: Custom shipping rates apply based on destination, typically ranging from $100 to $400 USD.

Invoicing: If the shipping cost is not calculated at checkout, we will invoice you for the freight cost prior to shipment.
4. International Shipping
Rest of World:

We ship worldwide. Rates are calculated based on weight and destination at checkout or via custom quote.
Duties, Taxes, and Customs (DDU)
All international orders (including US) are shipped Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU).

Customer Responsibility: Import duties, taxes, VAT, and brokerage fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost. You are responsible for paying these fees upon delivery.

Refusal of Package: If you refuse to pay duties and the package is returned to us, we will deduct any return shipping charges and administrative fees from your refund.
5. Damages in Transit
Your order must be inspected immediately upon delivery.

Reporting Window: If your order arrives damaged, you must contact us at info@popboardco.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Evidence: You must provide your order number and clear photos of both the damaged item and the damaged packaging.

Resolution: We address these on a case-by-case basis. Failure to report damages within 48 hours effectively accepts the item "as is."
6. Returns & Refunds (Shipping Context)

Return Window: We accept returns up to 60 days after delivery.

Return Shipping Costs:

Canada and USA: Please refer to our Refund Policy for restocking fees and shipping deduction details.

International: International customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

Condition: Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.
Rigid Boards Shipping Policy:
If you are ordering rigid boards please read the instructions below or forward them to your customer/recipient.
CONSIGNEE: Inspect goods thoroughly before signing the Release of Liability. Make notes on the Delivery Receipt of any damage, tears, or cuts to the product or product packaging. Damaged or lost goods will not be compensated by the carrier unless noted on the BOL/Delivery Receipt at delivery. The recipient will receive a maximum compensation of $80-150 per board if goods are accepted in damaged form and only if the damage is disclosed on the delivery receipt. Consignee has the right to refuse goods if damaged. Additionally, the damage must be reported within 24 hours to info@popboardco.com. In other words, if you receive a damaged board you have the option to a) refuse the goods or b) choose that the boards' condition is worth keeping given the compensation range mentioned above.
